After reading the last post you will know what i mean when i say that i felt our lives were too busy and that something needed to go. But when i sat to look at what we do, it really isn't much. We have gone to a bible study on wed mornings for a couple of years now and absolutely love it. But this year for some reason i just have felt a distance with it. Not sure why but haven't been able to get into it. So feeling the way i have lately i was considering if maybe i needed to take some time off from it. The other night while driving home my kids and I were discussing the word respect. That can be an interesting conversation with a 7 and 5 year old. Probably because I was trying to hard and yet at the same time trying to put it on their level in words they could grasp. So as if at a "duh!" moment, my sweet 5 year old Jaxon says "The bible says, Love one another, John 13:34" We have worked on memorizing scripture but this wasn't one that we have been working on so it caught me off guard. And the fact that he put the two together. I was thinking to myself, what better way to show respect that loving one another, And then as if on cue the two belted out in song,
"love one another,
love on another,
love one another , John 13:34"
This is a song they learned in bible study. IT was such a true blessing and a gentle nudge from God telling me that indeed I did not need to stop going to bible study on wed mornings, because my children were being minstered too there also. I am so thankful to God that there are Godly women instructing my children in scripture memory there. I know there are times when my voice and instruction becomes so monotone to them and I praise God that he has placed others there to fill the gaps.
